The U.S. Embassy in Georgia has opened an exciting opportunity for alumni of U.S. government-funded exchange programs with the announcement of the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) 2024. Marking a significant commitment to foster democratic and economic stability in Georgia, AEIF 2024 invites proposals for public service projects that align with the United States’ strategic goals in the region. With an award ceiling of $35,000 and an expected two awards, the fund aims to catalyze innovative solutions to address a range of societal challenges.
Under the Funding Opportunity Number PDS-DOS-GEO-FY24-002, the initiative is open to teams of at least two alumni who have participated in U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs. The focus of the projects must be outside the United States and its territories, with a clear goal to advance Georgia’s integration with the West. AEIF 2024 seeks proposals that emphasize areas such as exposure to American culture and values, economic prosperity, innovation, entrepreneurship, democratic values reinforcement, community integration, and cultural preservation. Importantly, the program encourages projects that bring together alumni from different exchange programs to forge a robust network capable of addressing common interests and increasing regional and global collaboration. This initiative represents a significant opportunity for exchange alumni to leverage their experiences and skills to drive meaningful change in their communities.
