Agency Name:: Agency for International Development
Description:: FANTA III-FOOD AND NUTRITION TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE DRAFT

The U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) is continuing its efforts to increase their participation in procurement reform. One way is to meet the objectives of the Implementation and Procurement Reform (IPR).
The goal of IPR is to: Embrace our ability to be development entrepreneurs focused on improving how we do businesscontracting with and providing grants to more and varied local partners, and creating true partnerships to create the conditions where aid is no longer necessary in the countries where we work(http://forward.usaid.gov/reform-agenda/implementation-and-procurement)
In meeting the objectives of IPR we are taking measures to develop and implement local capacity building activities and to expand our new and old local partner base. USAID is posting this Request for Applications in draft form to obtain comments on how we have incorporated IPR objectives. This RFA draft gives the industry and new partners an opportunity to comment on how well we are including IPR objectives.
This posting is for comments only. USAID will not provide answers to any questions. This is not a formal Request for Applications and we are not accepting applications. This posting does not commit the Government to any future RFA.
Please provide comments to Shanon Krause (skrause@usaid.gov) via email only by September 9, 2011. Any comments submitted after that date will not be received.
