NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: This is not a request for applications. This provides public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award a task agreement under a previously awarded cooperative agreement. Stones River National Battlefield was administratively listed in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) with passage of the National Historic Preservation Act on October 15, 1966. A National Register Nomination was accepted by the keeper on January 26, 1978. The existing documentation is out of date and inadequate for management purposes. Updated documentation will take into account the full extent of resources within the park boundary. The National Register documentation shall evaluate all resources within the authorized boundary of Stones River National Battlefield (including archeology) and distinguish between contributing and non-contributing resources within the district. The National Register district boundary shall be distinguished as well.
