The goal of this NOFO is to increase population access to comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in order to decrease HIV/AIDS associated morbidity and mortality. The NOFO aims to contribute towards successful epidemic control in the Haut Katanga Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), due to the declaration of priority from Ministry of Health (MOH) and PEPFAR in terms of the burden of disease. The NOFO has potential for expansion based on future geographic prioritization. Activities include continued expansion of existing prevention interventions, including prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV and HIV prevention among key populations (KP); care and treatment (C&T), including TB/HIV and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) services; HIV laboratory and related diagnostic services; and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and quality improvement (QI) activities. Activities will also involve improvement of family-centered and community-based HIV services, as well as orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) services. This NOFO will contribute in closing the gap for MOH HIV/AIDS key priorities. Other outcomes include improved data use for decision-making and policy development. The program activities will result in achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control in DRC.
