The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that support Tunisian-led justice and accountability efforts. DRL’s objective is to support the advancement of Tunisia’s transitional justice process, in collaboration with key government and civil society partners. Program approaches may include, but are not limited to: Building the capacity of relevant institutions, government and non-government, to effectively and collaboratively implement transitional justice processes and commitments, including those outlined in the constitution and Organic Law on Establishing and Organizing Transitional Justice; Supporting key stakeholders to develop an action plan for implementation of established transitional justice commitments and recommendations, including as outlined in Part 8 of the Organic Law on Establishing Transitional Justice; Supporting the efforts of Tunisian civil society organizations to advocate for implementation of such commitments, including by building awareness of the transitional justice process and advocating for its continued advancement; Supporting government and civil society collaboration in transitional justice measures, including developing efforts for preservation of memory and enhancing representation of and advocating for services for victim |
