Description:: The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support projects to examine the transcriptional signatures of individual human cells in order to measure and analyze cellular heterogeneity and to define specific cell types and/or cell states in a given population.In addition, projects supported through this FOA must devise and test methods to detect, analyze, and interpret noise, which may be technical or biological in origin.These studies will identify methods to minimize artifactual noise while simultaneously exploring the biological significance of heterogeneity among single cells.
