CVSR is uniquely qualified to assist the park with its Interpretation and Education goals as well as its Alternative Transportation objectives for a variety of reasons: CVSR is a local non-profit organization based in the Cuyahoga Valley and has strong ties and long-standing, trusted relationships with the surrounding communities in the park; CVSR owns all of the rolling stock used to provide rail service in the park; CVSR has an existing volunteer base of 2,000+ people who assist the organization; CVSR supports via non federal funding approximately 45% of the operating budget. |
