Eligibility

Eligible Applicants: Others (see text field entitled “Additional Information on Eligibility” for clarification)
Additional Information on Eligibility: Eligibility for this funding opportunity is limited to the current SAMHSA FY 2012 Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) Network Coordinating Office grantee, The Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System. Eligibility is limited, based on SAMHSA’s belief in the effectiveness of a single coordinating center for national, regional, and international ATTCs. The SAMHSA ATTC Network Coordinating Office has the infrastructure, partnerships, and necessary knowledge and skills already in place and would be best able to coordinate and facilitate bi-directional information exchange between domestic and international ATTCs without a lengthy start-up period.

Additional Information

Agency Name: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Admin
Description: The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), announces the availability of supplemental funding to the current Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) – Network Coordinating Office grantee to support activities establishing and promoting collaboration among domestic ATTCs and internationally-based ATTCs. Collaboration among domestic and internationally-based ATTCs will facilitate the exchange of evidence-based best practices that inform both domestic and international substance use disorder treatment practices, as well as the development of peer recovery programs, for HIV prevention, care, and treatment in the context of co-occurring physical, mental, and substance use disorders. Information on this program may be found in the original funding announcement, TI-12-008 available on the SAMHSA website at http://media.samhsa.gov/Grants/archives.aspx.
