Description: |
Through this NoFO/RFA, USAID/Mali aims to fund a suite of collaborative activities that will contribute to the implementation of the Mali Global Food Security Strategy (GFSS) Country Plan, which is also referred to as “Feed the Future” or “FTF” in this document. The resulting awards are intended to focus on only one activity each. However it is USAID’s expectation that the different awards will be mutually reinforcing in nature within the geographic zone of influence.
The Mali GFSS Country Plan includes three principal objectives:(i) inclusive and sustainable agriculture-led growth; (ii) increased resilienceof people and communities to economic, health and climate shocks; and (iii) improved nutrition and WASH status, especially of women, adolescent girls and children. With this NoFO/RFA, and subject to the availability of funds, USAID expects to achieve all three Mali GFSS objectives by awarding multiple assistance awards (cooperative agreements) that will implement two key components of the GFSS in Mali:
(a) Market Systems: Improved Deliveryof Quality Products and Services (b) Agricultural Production:Sustainable Intensification of Target Value Chains
