Description: | NET has a 27 year local history developing green projects in the Los Angeles area specifically designed to provide meaningful education projects for at-risk youth. The NPS has less experience with urban design but has unparalleled experience in youth project development in natural areas. This creates a unique partnership opportunity for NET and NPS to work together to develop youth projects in areas that have both natural and urban characteristics. This agreement will create a one-year pilot program for project development with North East Trees and the NPS that will provide environmentally friendly improvements to be constructed integrating future youth development projects on four trail heads, two trails, and two recreation sites. The project development and design by NET will be specifically catered for future project use where SAMO will be able to develop educational youth implementation crews. |
