Agency Name: Natural Resources Conservation Service
Description: The agreements will be from 1 to 3 years in length.  This is a five state effort.  The purpose of the agreement will leverage agency resources to improve soil health, improve water quality, provide habitat for local wildlife species of concern, improve the environmental and economic performance of working ag lands, and assist communities and groups to build and strengthen local food projects that provide healthy food and economic opportunities.  The estimated funding available by state is as follows:  Minnesota $4.5 mil, Nebraska $2.5, North Dakota $6.0 mil, South Dakota $4.8 mil, and Kansas $2.0 mil.
