Description: The objective of the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to solicit applications to conduct Front-End Engineering Design Studies (FEED) for commercial-scale carbon capture systems on coal and natural gas power plants. This FOA consists of three (3) Areas of Interest (AOI). AOI 1 concerns FEED studies for retrofitting existing domestic coal power plants with carbon capture. AOI 2 concerns FEED studies for commercial-scale carbon capture units on new or existing (retrofit) domestic gas-fired power plants or new domestic coal plants. AOI 3 concerns FEED studies for carbon dioxide purification and compression systems for domestic coal or natural gas power plants that generate carbon dioxide suitable for utilization or storage.
