Description: his announcement solicits applications for the State Public Health Coordinating Center for Autism.

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Division of State and Community Health (DSCH), is funding a State Public Health Coordinating Center for Autism (hereafter, referred to as the Coordinating Center) to support and assist 50 states and nine jurisdictions in developing state-wide systems of care to improve the health of infants, children, and adolescents who have or are at risk for developing autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities (DD).  The Coordinating Center will work closely with the recipients of the current Innovation in Care Integration for Children and Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Other Developmental Disabilities Program (HRSA-16-048), the associated learning community (HRSA-16-048), and the former State Autism Awardees (HRSA 12-131) – all are hereafter referred to as “State Autism Awardees.”  The Coordinating Center will also work with other entities, such as Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) organizations, other Autism investment awardees, family-led organizations, and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) partners.  Activities of the Coordinating Center will advance the efforts of State Autism Awardees and State Public Health agencies, including the Title V MCH and CYSHCN programs, to develop and sustain a state system of care to assure that children and youth with ASD and other DD receive early and timely identification, diagnosis, referral, and treatment.
