Additional Information on Eligibility: Eligibility for this NOFO is exclusively restricted to Tanzania local Organizations. Only local organizations as defined below are eligible for an award:•Are incorporated or legally organized under the laws of, and have its principal place of business in Tanzania;•Are at 75% beneficially owned by individuals who are citizens or lawfully admitted residents of Tanzania;•Are at least 75% of its staff (senior, mid-level, support) must be citizens or lawfully admitted residents of Tanzania; and •When an entity has a Board of Directors, at least 51% of the members of its Board must be citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents of Tanzania.

Description:

USAID/Tanzania intends to award a cooperative agreement to a Tanzania local organization to provide support to the Government of Tanzania’s (GOT) Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to deliver health services to police & prison staff, their families, prisoners and surrounding communities. Specifically, the recipient will increase access to high-quality services that prevent HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) infection and provide care to those infected. The recipient will also strengthen the MHA health system in areas like leadership, resource mobilization, management and record keeping.
