The goal of the EESM portfolio within the BER program is to develop and demonstrate advanced modeling and simulation capabilities, in order to enhance the predictability of the Earth system over multiple temporal and spatial scales. The EESM vision is to provide the best possible information about the Earth’s evolving system: In addition to promoting understanding of the natural world, this knowledge could be used to inform planning for energy assets and infrastructures. |
