Description: | Through this funding opportunity, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service seeks to educate the public on the plight of wild animal and plant species threatened by illegal and unsustainable trade and the impacts that consumer choices have on these species. The goal of this education and outreach initiative is to reduce demand for illegal wildlife products by motivating individuals, businesses, and other entities to make informed purchasing decisions and take action to protect these species. This effort will include harnessing the strengths of existing partner organizations, including State and Federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, and industry groups, as well as identifying and engaging new private sector and non-traditional partners to vastly increase our reach. Through this partnership effort, we aim to develop public service announcements, advertisements, and other information that can be disseminated to target audiences through websites and social media, as well as traditional media outlets, including, but not limited to, print publications and billboards. |
