Additional Information on Eligibility: | Category 1: CAC Membership and Accreditation Program. Eligible applicants are limited to nonprofit organizations and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations) and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). All recipients and subrecipients (including any for-profit organization) must forgo any profit or management fee. Nonprofit organizations that hold money in offshore accounts for the purposes of avoiding paying the tax described in 26 U.S.C. 511(a) are not eligible to apply.
Categories 2, 3, and 4: CAC National Subgrant Program, CAC National Subgrant Program for Victims of Child Pornography, and CAC Military Partnership Pilot Project. Eligible applicants are limited to states (including territories), units of local government, federally recognized tribal governments as determined by the Secretary of the Interior, nonprofit organizations and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). All recipients and subrecipients (including any for-profit organization) must forgo any profit or management fee. Nonprofit organizations that hold money in offshore accounts for the purposes of avoiding paying the tax described in 26 U.S.C. 511(a) are not eligible to apply. Note: A prospective recipient of grant funds that is found to have an “unresolved audit finding” from a DOJ Office of the Inspector General audit, as described at 34 U.S.C. § 20307, will be ineligible to receive grant funds during the period specified in that statute. See 34 U.S.C. § 20307(1)(A). OJJDP welcomes applications under which two or more entities would carry out the federal award; however, only one eligible entity may be the applicant. Any others must be proposed as subrecipients (subgrantees). The applicant must be the entity with primary responsibility for carrying out the award, including administering the funding and managing the entire program. Under this solicitation, only one application by any particular applicant entity will be considered. An entity may, however, be proposed as a subrecipient (subgrantee) in more than one application. |

Cat 1: This program will fund a national membership and accreditation organization for childrenâs advocacy center programs. The funding will enable the successful applicant to provide services to membership organizations and to implement standards for program accreditation. Cat 2: This program will provide funding to manage a national grant awards program for local childrenâs advocacy center programs. Cat 3: This program funds CACs to provide services for child pornography victims. Cat 4: This program will fund a national organization to implement a pilot program targeted to communities with substantial military installations for the purpose of establishing CAC models inclusive of the following military partners; military investigative agencies, medical and Command personnel, and Family Advocacy Program representatives. |
