Description: Law Enforcement National Initiatives: Improving Responses to Criminal Justice Issues Competitive Grant Announcement focuses on national initiatives that align with the Project Safe Neighborhoods Initiative to improve the functioning of the criminal justice system, specifically by (1) providing training to enhance and improve the capacity of local jurisdictions to address violent crime and increase public safety; (2) training to communities to address victim and witness intimidation; (3) training to strengthen the investigative function of law enforcement agencies; and, (4) coordinating activities of the BJA Criminal Justice Forecasting Group.
