Agency Name: Pennsylvania State Office
Description: The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is announcing availability of Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. NRCS anticipates that the amount available for support of this program in FY 2016 will be up to $150,000. Individual grants will not exceed $75,000.Only projects to be implemented within Pennsylvania will be considered. No multi-state projects will be accepted. Applicants who have submitted to the National CIG component can submit a proposal for the State CIG; however, the application will only be funded from one of the two components (National or PA CIG). CIG does not fund research projects. In addition, projects must involve farmers or landowners who meet the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) eligibility requirements (see section III.B). Proposals are requested from eligible governmental or non-governmental organizations or individuals for competitive consideration of grant awards for projects between 1 and 3 years in duration.
