| Additional Information on Eligibility: | Applicants are limited to national associations, nonprofit organizations (including tribal nonprofit organizations), faith- and community-based organizations, institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education), and public agencies (including federally recognized Indian tribal governments as determined by the Secretary of the Interior) that can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of state-administered VOCA assistance and compensation programs. Applicants should also possess the staff, resources, and capability to plan and implement a national training conference for approximately 250 VOCA Administrators and their staff. All recipients and subrecipients (including any for-profit organizations) must forgo any profit or management fee. OVC welcomes applications under which two or more entities would carry out the federal award; however, only one entity may be the applicant. Any others must be proposed as subrecipients (subgrantees).1 The applicant must be the entity with primary responsibility for carrying out the award, including administering the funding and managing the conferences in their entirety. Only one application per lead applicant will be considered; however, an entity may be proposed as a subrecipient in multiple proposals. |
