Purpose of Small Grants: PAS Haiti invites proposals for programs that support academic mobility between our two countries; the development of civil society; the empowerment of youth in realizing their potential through education, innovation and entrepreneurship; the democratic ideals of freedom of expression and of the press, and intellectual freedom; teaching of the English language; empowerment and security of women and girls; and strengthening cultural ties between the U.S. and Haiti. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. Examples of PAS Small Grants Program programs include, but are not limited to:
