This NOFO will address key site and above-site challenges hindering HIV epidemic control in Jamaica. Above-site activities will focus on improving the policy environment, strengthening systems necessary for the implementation of international best practices, addressing gaps in provision of clinical services, laboratory systems and strategic information (SI). Site-level supported activities will target the following key programmatic areas: Prevention, care and treatment (PCT): address critical gaps in HIV diagnosis, linkage, retention and viral suppression. Emphasis will be on the scale up and expansion of index case testing (ICT)/partner notification services (PNS) as the primary case finding strategy, differentiated service delivery to improve adherence and retention, and optimization of medical care to ensure all patients become virally suppressed. The scope of this NOFO may include other efforts to prevent, detect, respond, and treat other infectious and non-infectious diseases that impact people living with HIV (PLHIV) and populations affected by HIV or topics of urgent public health importance. |
