This announcement is to provide public notice of the NPS’s intentions to award financial assistance for the following project activities without competition to Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area. This agreement’s focus is on supporting interpretive-educational outreach around the region-as well as strengthening connections between the park to heritage tourism efforts. Collaborate on culminating 65th anniversary event; outreach to education groups/summer camps for environmental fair (NPS-American Solar Challenge) and archaeological field school; connect to local/regional heritage tourism. Developing, enhancing and promoting history trails and collaborative traveling exhibits or shared programs. Freedom’s Frontier connects park to heritage tourism efforts in the region and to new Quindaro National Commemorative Area. |
