The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to Central California Irrigation District under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.555, San Joaquin River Restoration Program; Public Law 111-11, Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009, Title X, Subtitle A, Part I, San Joaquin River Restoration Settlement Act: Section 10002, Section 10004 (b)(2)(d)(e); Stipulation of Settlement CIV NO. S-88-1658-LKK/GGH (San Joaquin River Restoration Settlement) – Paragraph 2; as limited and delegated by the Secretary of the Interior delegation of authority to the Bureau of Reclamation at 255 DM 1.1B. Estimated total amount of agreement is $5,761,211.04. Reclamation is providing $3,600,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2019.
Objective #1: This project will design a fish screen, juvenile return pipe, and control structure up stream of the Mendota Pool, resulting in a complete design package that can be funded for construction.
The fish screen is designed to protect the entrainment of juvenile salmonids and other anadramous fish, and all design work and future operations will be conducted in a way to prioritize this objective.
