Department of Interior: Derby Dam Fish Screen Project Grant

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to Farmers Conservation Alliance LLC under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.517. Total amount of agreement is $34M with Reclamation providing $14M in Federal Funds for FY20.  The purpose of the project is to conduct design, construction, and commissioning of a horizontal fish screen below the headworks of the Truckee Canal at Derby Dam. The fish screen is a system of components which is made up of the fish screen structure and appurtenances. Components that make up the fish screen structure includes, but is not limited to, the attenuation bay, taper walls, screen material, and weir walls. The appurtenant structures include inlet flumes, gate structures, fish return structures, conveyance flumes, bypass structures, as well as buildings and other structure required for the proper operation of the fish screen.
