The State Component of the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program, known as STATEMAP, aims to establish the geologic framework of crucial areas for the economic, social, and scientific welfare of individual States. State Geologists collaborate with a State Mapping Advisory Committee to determine mapping priorities based on state requirements and critical earth-science problems. This grant opportunity encourages proposals addressing vital geologic-map information needs to support decision-making and solve pressing geological challenges. Application deadline is on November 9, 2015.
