Description: This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Black Lung Clinics Program (BLCP). BLCP’s primary goal is to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with occupationally-related coal mine dust lung disease (CMDLD)1 through the provision of medical, outreach, educational, and benefits counseling services. All applicants, at a minimum, must provide certain services to coal miners in their service area (see Section IV.3.1). The additional guidelines to the minimum required services are intended to ensure that all service areas receive a level of services commensurate with current efforts in those areas and that the quality and breadth of services delivered to coal miners is sustained (see Section IV.3.2).
