| Description: |
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement. Master Cooperative Agreement Number P15AC00015 was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS), and American Conservation Experience (ACE) to provide rewarding environmental service opportunities that harness the idealism and energy of a volunteer labor force to help improve America’s public lands. This project provides hands-on service opportunities in conservation science, and natural resource management that help develop a generation of skilled workers, educated and active citizens, future leaders, and stewards of natural and cultural resources. Through this project, youth will learn about environmental careers and will gain valuable job skills. Through the work of the natural resource management and science interns, the public will have greater access to public lands and recreational opportunities and develop a deeper understanding of natural and cultural resources. |
