Description:

 This opportunity is for technical biological assistance associated with the ecological monitoring of Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) and Agricultural Conservation Easement Program-Wetlands Reserve Easements (WRE). The selected party will be responsible for completing ecological monitoring of easements identified by NRCS for review. The monitoring reviews will include anassessment of the ecological function of the sites, as well as proposed actions to enhance the sites.  In addition, the agreement will address the need for technical experience in the development of prescribed burn plans, and the development of pollinator/Monarch plans.  The opportunity is directly related to Indiana easements and includes monitoring of both wetland and upland habitats of selected easements. Total maximum federal funding for the project is $562,500.00.  The selected party will provide two individuals with educational background in wildlife biology, ecology or biology.  Individual staff will be required to have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife biology, ecology or biology with a demonstrated knowledge of plant identification, wildlife species, and restoration of wetland and uplandhabitats.
