Description: The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research in improve water resources forecasting for water supply and to implicate the role of vegetation on seasonal and annual evapotranspiration and the water balance in the USGS Basin Characterization Model (BCM). The refined model will be calibrated to remotely sensed evapotranspiration, streamflow, and recharge estimates where available, and will be used to evaluate future changes in water supply and the water balance under future climates being investigated by California’s 4th Climate Change Assessment.
