Agency Name: National Park Service
Description: This project serves to protect and improve plant and vegetation resources on federal, state, and locally owned parklands within and adjacent to the SMMNRA. Information and understanding gained by this work will be reported to local governments and land management agencies to support more effective regional conservation decisions. The capacity of NPS and MRT to interpret our vegetation and flora will also be increased, benefitting the public through better program delivery and increased understanding of the natural resources of federal, state, and local parks. Through the increased experience gained by participating in this project, the capacity of the MRT to serve the public as a land management, conservation, and education organization will be increased.
