Agency Name: Bureau of Reclamation
Description: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to Center for Natural Lands Management under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.512, Central Valley Project Improvement Act (CVPIA), Public Law 102-575, Section 3406(b)(1). Estimated total amount of agreement is $254,160.99. The purpose of this project is to permanently restore habitat for the Bakersfield cactus to help prevent the species from becoming further endangered, and would provide permanently protected habitats to assist with the species’ recovery and potential future delisting. The restoration will benefit the San Joaquin Valley giant flower loving fly which exists only at the project site, and is currently being considered for listing as threatened or endangered by FWS. (Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No. BOR-MP-17-N032 for additional information)

A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(2) & (4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
