Additional Information on Eligibility: The Africa Regional Democracy Fund Democracy, Human Rights and Governance Program is limited to Cameroonian locally registered CBOs, associations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with at least 2 years of experience working in the areas of Democracy, Governance, and Human Rights. Organizations and entities with a prior history of poor performance of U.S. government grants are ineligible to apply for this funding.

Description:

The U.S. Embassy in Yaounde, Political and Economic Section is seeking proposals for projects that will advance human rights and fundamental freedoms by supporting efforts to promote human rights systems, policies, and protection. In addition, it seeks projects that will promote accountable, transparent and responsive governance to advocate for legislative transparency, accountability, and oversight at all levels of government, and support democratic processes and norms through peace processes and negotiations.

Note: The U.S. Embassy expects to receive funding for the ARDF program before September 30, 2020. Grant awards are contingent on the receipt of funding. If the program is not approved, no grants will be awarded under this call.
