| Description: | The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to build on previous PEPFAR support under the HHS/CDC HIV treatment program to ensure continuity of comprehensive HIV/AIDS services to an existing pool of clients receiving HIV/AIDS care, support, and/or treatment in Côte dIvoire. The program will also continue moderate expansion of access to HIV/AIDS services while building the capacity of national structures and contributing to sustainable service delivery within the health sector in Côte dIvoire, with a primary focus of activities in northern regions. Specifically, it serves to increase capacity and sustainability of the response to the HIV/AIDS crisis by initially providing support for HIV service delivery and ultimately providing technical assistance to indigenous Ivorian organizations and the national Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Fight Against AIDS (MSLS) to sustain and expand comprehensive HIV prevention, care, and ART programs. Successful grantees will combine a facility-based strategy with complementary community mobilization and follow up for case management to support retention in quality HIV/AIDS services. At the end of the 5 year project period, the recipient should be able to collect and evaluate program data that demonstrate improved quality of HIV prevention, care and treatment services in northern Côte dIvoire and to transition activities to MSLS and/or local organizations to sustain a basic HIV service package. |
