The Department of Western Hemisphere Affairs aims to empower a new generation of Cuban leaders, enhancing their skills to advocate for human rights and democracy. This grant initiative will support 25-40 young Cubans, aged 20-35, in developing leadership capacities to drive community-focused initiatives promoting diversity, public interests, and democratic practices within Cuba. The goal is to cultivate independent civil society leaders who can effectively engage with communities and advocate for positive change in Cuban society. Applications close on July 26, 2019.
