The purpose of RFA Amendment No. 1 is to revise the eligibility of applicants to submit their applications, respond to questions, and extend the closing date from January 13, 2016 to February 1, 2016.

Eligibility – This amendment revises the eligibility of applicants to submit their applications under SHERA. Accordingly, the cover page of original Notice of Funding Opportunity dated November 25, 2015, and paragraph one of Section III – Eligibility Information of the RFA are revised as below.

“Applications will be accepted from U.S. non-government organizations (NGOs) and international non-profit organizations, for profit-firms and educational institutions, including U.S universities, U.S public or state controlled institutions of Higher Education, to be the prime implementing partner (Recipient) for SHERA program. Once SHERA is awarded, the prime implementing partner (with its sub-contractor, if any) will provide technical assistance, select partnership programs and manage sub-awards to universities for the creation of partnership awards. The implementing partner (with its sub-contractor, if any) will not receive partnership awards with universities and will not directly implement the universities partnership activities.”

On January 11, 2016, USAID/Indonesia issued RFA Amendment No. 1 for SHERA. The purpose of this Amendment No. 1 is to revise the eligibility of applicants, respond to questions, and extend the closing date from January 13, 2016 to February 1, 2016.

With regard to the eligibility of applicants, USAID/Indonesia is now seeking applications from U.S. non-government organizations (NGOs) and international non-profit organizations, for profit-firms and educational institutions, including U.S universities, U.S public or state controlled institutions of Higher Education, to be the prime implementing partner (Recipient) for SHERA program.
