PAS Islamabad invites all eligible organizations (see Section C for Eligibility Requirements) to submit a proposal for a Grant or Cooperative Agreement to support activities focused on the empowerment of women and girls. Proposals should advance the empowerment of women and girls through one of the activity areas specified in this NOFO.

This NOFO aims to support the Department of State’s initiatives to promote women’s social and economic development, integrate women into peace and security building, address and prevent gender-based violence, and ensure women’s full participation in civic and political life. Research shows that progress in women’s employment, health, and education can lead to greater economic growth and stronger communities. Countries are more peaceful and prosperous when women are afforded full and equal rights and opportunity.
