| Description: | The Division of Human Development and Disability (DHDD) in CDC’s National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD) proposes a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications from agencies of national scope to collaborate with CDC on a non-research Cooperative Agreement titled “Improving Health of Americans with Mobility Limitations Through Evidence-based Health Promotion Programs” that would build on decades of work with national partners. This Cooperative Agreement would support work through established organizations to improve the mental and physical health of Americans with mobility limitations (ML) across the lifespan through evidence-based health promotion programs. Applicants will propose strategies and activities for improving the health of this target population.
Long-term outcomes of this Cooperative Agreement include: Reduced prevalence of chronic physical health conditions (including, but not limited to: diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and hypertension) among people with ML |
