Category Explanation: The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy to the Kyrgyz Republic is pleased to announce that funding is available through the Embassy’s Democracy Commission Small Grants Program. This program supports the development of the country’s democratic institutions and civil society by competitively awarding small grants to nonprofit, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and associations, to nonprofit civil society organizations (CSOs), and to independent local media organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic. Please select one of the following five priority themes to focus on when developing your proposal:

Description:

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy to the Kyrgyz Republic is soliciting project proposals from civil society and independent media organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic that focus on five priority areas specified below. Applicants should pay close attention to the Public Affairs Section’s priority goals, program areas, target audiences, and geographic locations when developing their proposals. 

Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit joint proposals with another NGO in the region or a Bishkek-based organization to build partnerships and strengthen civil society capacity in rural areas.

This program will be funded under the Foreign Assistance Act authorization. All programming is subject to the statutory limitations of the funding determined.

Please select one of the following five priority themes to focus on when developing your proposal:
