The Directorate for Engineering (ENG) offers the Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) in Engineering program. This grant supports K-12 teachers and community college faculty, promoting their active involvement in engineering research. The core objective is to integrate engineering and technological innovation knowledge into classrooms, fostering long-term collaborative partnerships between K-12 STEM teachers, community college faculty, and the NSF university research community. The program aims to enrich educational content and inspire students. Participation by underrepresented minorities, women, persons with disabilities, and partnerships with inner-city or high-need schools are highly encouraged.
