EPA Grant: SmartWay Clean Diesel Finance Program Funding through American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
The EPA, through its National Clean Diesel Campaign and SmartWay Transport Partnership, is offering this grant to support projects that reduce diesel emissions and maximize job creation and preservation. This funding is made available via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This grant is for the purpose of establishing national, state, or local innovative financing programs under EPA’s SmartWay Clean Diesel Finance Program. Applicants are sought for projects that can commence expeditiously, providing unique financial incentives—better than regular market rates—for recipients purchasing or retrofitting vehicles or equipment to achieve cleaner operations. This initiative aims to stimulate economic activity while fostering environmental benefits.
