Description: The EPA’s National Clean Diesel Campaign are announcing the availability of funding assistance through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) and the Energy Policy Act of 2005, (EPAct 2005). Under the Recovery Act and EPAct 2005, EPA’s National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program is soliciting applications for projects that can be commenced expeditiously and that reduce diesel emissions and maximize job creation and preservation through a variety of diesel emission reduction strategies. Eligible projects must include one or more of the following diesel emissions reduction solutions: verified emission control technologies including retrofit devices, cleaner fuels, and engine upgrades, idle reduction technologies; certified engine repowers; and/or certified vehicle or equipment replacement.
