This grant, offered by the Bureau of Reclamation, is for the purpose of implementing the watershed restoration efforts of the Trinity River Restoration Program (TRRP). Recipients will undertake on-the-ground watershed rehabilitation and sediment source control projects, specifically those identified by the Trinity River Watershed Council and approved by the TRRP Watershed Workgroup. The primary objective is to mitigate the impacts of the Central Valley Project (CVP) on fish, wildlife, and their associated habitats within California’s Trinity River basin. This involves protecting, restoring, and enhancing these vital habitats, alongside addressing other adverse environmental impacts caused by the CVP.
