The Department of the Interior, specifically the Bureau of Land Management Oregon/Washington (BLM ORWA), is offering this grant to support comprehensive cultural and paleontological resource management initiatives. This grant is for the critical purpose of preserving, protecting, and interpreting invaluable cultural heritage sites and significant fossil discoveries across lands managed by BLM in Oregon and Washington. Funded by the FY23 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the program aims to ensure the responsible stewardship of these non-renewable resources for current and future generations. Activities supported may include resource identification, inventory, evaluation, protection, public education, and mitigation efforts in compliance with federal mandates. This vital funding enables the effective management of archaeological sites, historical properties, and paleontological localities, contributing to scientific understanding and public enjoyment. Interested parties should note the application deadline of April 18, 2023.
