vertical land motion using the latest in situ and remote
sensing data, (2) incorporation of those rates into
future coastal flooding assessments, (3) developing
research approaches for incorporating natural system
evolution (e.g., beach and barrier island systems) into
future coastal flood hazard assessments and coastal
resilience strategies, (4) writing reports and papers to
peer-reviewed journals about the integration of
geomorphic change into coastal flood modeling systems,
applications, and results, and (5) attending meetings
with the USGS coastal hazards team to discuss strategies
