The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) is offering this grant to organizations through an open competition. This grant is specifically for projects aimed at addressing the persistent issue of impunity for individuals and entities involved in the facilitation and perpetuation of arms export misuse and diversion. The purpose is to strengthen civil society efforts in holding accountable those responsible for such illicit activities, thereby reducing the unauthorized flow and abuse of arms. Successful proposals will demonstrate clear strategies for investigating, documenting, and advocating against these practices. The initiative seeks to foster environments where perpetrators cannot act without consequence, ultimately contributing to greater global security and respect for human rights by curbing the illicit arms trade.
