The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wyoming State Office is offering this cooperative agreement to investigate the genetic structure of Greater Sage-grouse subpopulations in the Green River, Gros Ventre, and Jackson Hole valleys. This grant aims to understand dispersal rates among these three sub-populations, analyze fine-scale population structure within each geographic area, and identify patterns of sex-biased gene flow both within and between these crucial habitats. The project, initially for a one-year period, seeks to generate vital data on sage grouse genetics. Continued funding may be considered based on satisfactory progress towards program goals and the availability of funds, ensuring the best interest of the Government.
