Cooperative Agreement for: Demonstration Project on Senior Pedestrian Safety Training Program

AGENCY: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)

ACTION: Announcement of a Request for Applications to Demonstration Project on Senior Pedestrian Safety Training Program. It is anticipated that 1 award will be made for this project (not to exceed $100,000.00).

SUMMARY: The objective of this cooperative agreement (CA) is to partner with a national organization that provides services to the senior population to demonstrate and evaluate the WOFU Workshop in no fewer than fifteen (15) communities across the country. The desired immediate outcome is to actively engage various community organizations in reducing the risk of senior-involved pedestrian crashes. The desired long-term outcome is to reduce the number of pedestrian crashes involving older people.

DATES: Application(s) must be submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Office of Acquisition Management (NPO-320); Attention: Larry Gooding, 1200 New Jersey Avenue, S.E., W53-123, Washington, D.C. 20590. All application(s) submitted must include a reference to NHTSA Cooperative Agreement Number DTNH22-09-R-00212. Only complete packages received on or before 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday , June 18, 2009 will be considered.

Applicant(s) shall provide a complete mailing address where Federal Express mail can be delivered.
