The Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering the State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) Grant Program to assist eligible small businesses in becoming exporters and increasing the value of their exports. This grant is for States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa to develop and implement export promotion programs. Awards are made on a competitive basis through a cooperative agreement for a 12-month project period. States may submit one application per federal fiscal year during the program’s three-year term, subject to Congressional appropriations. This initiative aims to significantly boost the participation of small business concerns in international trade.
