The Tribal Affairs Department is offering this grant to assist nonprofit organizations and individuals in building Indian women’s leadership and capacity within tribal communities. This grant is for the purpose of advocating for systemic change to enhance the safety of women in Indian Tribes. Through the Tribal Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program, recipients will provide technical assistance and expand the capacity of tribal coalitions. They will also develop and enhance standards for tribal governments, nonprofits, and victim service providers. This initiative aims to increase understanding of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
